BMW Group Asia has put together a BMW-themed mini-auto show at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre at the Marina Bay Sands. The exhibition features the Asian premiere of the second-generation X3, and the M3 GTS. The exhibit runs from 9 to 14 November 2010, and takes its inspiration from the massive BMW Welt, a showroom/mini theme park/lifestyle center, located at its Munich headquarters.
Aside from the X3 and M3 GTS, which is a hand-built, highly modified M3 that is ideal for Clubsport racing, the BMW World will showcase prototypes and concept vehicles. The Concept 5 Series ActiveHybrid is expected to be the brand’s first full-hybrid car by next year. The flexible fabric skin of the GINA concept will wow visitors, as well as the M1 Hommage sports car. The M1 Hommage was built to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Giugiaro-designed M1, BMW’s mid-engined supercar. A parade of classic BMW roadsters, from the 1950s 507 to the current Z4 will be on hand.
Lifestyle gadgets and accessories and family activities will be available as well. If you’re in Singapore, it sounds more exciting than any theme park. The event is open to the public on November 9 from 2pm to 9pm and from November 10 to 14, 10am to 9pm. Admission is free. For more information and to pre-register, visit www.bmwworld.com.sg .
