When, oh when, will we get the radical new Nissans? Following the crossover-gone-bonkers styling of the Juke compact crossover, and the somewhat-affordable all-electric Leaf, Nissan will put into production a convertible version of the Murano.
Calling it the world’s first all-wheel drive crossover convertible, the Murano CrossCabriolet “delivers the open-air exhilaration of a convertible while extending the versatility of the Murano in exciting new ways. With room for four adults, space for golf bags or luggage (even with the top down), and a premium level interior, (it) represents a breakthrough in concept and design.” This will undoubtedly keep Adrian van Hooydonk awake at night, thinking of how to chop off the top of the X6.
The Murano convertible will debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show and will go on sale in early 2011. Meanwhile, we get the Sentra 200.
