Automotive Ostentation, Part 1: Infiniti (with Louis Vuitton) Essence Sculpture
That AutoArt 1:12 Bugatti Veyron at Hobbes & Landes (about P35,000) not special enough for you? How about this piece of tabletop decoration from Infiniti: the “Essence Sculpture,” a limited-edition solid resin (aka plastic) piece signed by Shiro Nakamura, Nissan’s design chief?
The Infiniti Essence concept car was created to commemorate the brand’s 20th anniversary. The Essence Sculpture was created to commemorate that commemoration. Louis Vuitton made some bespoke luggage for the concept car, so it’s only appropriate that they make a carrying case for the sculpture. Unfortunately, it seems that only the first specimen will have LV’s Damier Graphite carrying case, and that specimen will be parked at Infiniti’s headquarters in Tokyo; the other 299 will have to scrounge for their own plastic (aka resin) case.
