Just as there’s no such thing as too much power, there’s no such thing as too much watch. Bentley proved the first with its Continental Supersports series. This variant of the Continental packs 630 hp from its 6.0-liter engine.
Its watch partner Breitling is only too happy to supply the second half with the Bentley Supersports special series watch. The watch features a chronograph with “an original system enabling extremely clear reading of the minutes being timed, exactly like conventional time read-off thanks to the dedicated red arrow-tipped hand. It is complemented by a 12-hour counter at 9 o’clock and a central scale with hundredth of an hour or hundredth of a minute graduations. In addition to its traditional fixed tachometric scale, the dashboard-style dial features a variable tachometer with circular slide rule.” The rather attractive dial is surrounded by a knurled bezel, just as in Crewe’s finest.
Ah, glorious excess. The watch will be powered by a self-winding movement within a stainless-steel case. Naturally, it is massive (48.7mm), and will be limited (to 1000 pieces).
