Ready for a large Hyundai wagon, a la Subaru Legacy? It’s on its way, to the European market, at least. The “Sonata wagon” or rather, i40, as the car will be called, will be launched at the Geneva Auto Show in March. For now, Hyundai is only showing teaser shots of the interior, which not surprisingly, is based off the Sonata sedan’s (which is a very good cabin).
Hyundai will once again show the Veloster, its three-door, front-drive sports coupe. Veloster has the Mini Cooper and Audi A1 firmly in its sights. The Curb concept, which is meant to show “next-generation fluidic styling” will also be at Geneva.
Hyundai’s competent i10 minicar also received a facelift and a new engine. The new nose gives it a closer resemblance to the newer models in the family. The new engine is an all-new 1.0 “Kappa” three-cylinder that will achieve better mileage figures. There’s also a 1.25-liter version good for 85 bhp. The 1.0-liter will be available in a Blue edition, with low CO2 emissions.
