Tease, tease, tease. After Toyota’s tiny glimpse of its upcoming FT-86 sports car, it’s now Subaru’s turn. It’s no secret that the new sports car is a collaboration between the two Japanese companies. Subaru is apparently in charge of most of the engineering work, including the drivetrain.
Thus it’s a Subaru engine that will power the new car. The rumormill has it that the ever-reliable 2.5-liter boxer four will be under the hood, and will be good for 300 bhp.
For now, Subaru has released even less of a teaser than Toyota, just showing off the outline of the car’s hood and the boxer engine under it. Watch out for more next week, when the Geneva Auto Show begins.
