Hyundai’s Philippine Sales Soar!

January 09,2011

Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai’s automobiles in the Philippines, welcomes 2011 with a fresh yearend victory, having sold a total of 20,172 units ending 2010, hallmarking yet another historic achievement for Hyundai, South Korea’s largest automaker and the fifth largest in the world. Hyundai’s December 2010 year-to-date sales tally translates to a hefty 82.0% growth, making it one of the strongest brands in the market today. On a month-on-month comparison, Hyundai’s December 2010 sales evidently surpassed its December 2009 record with a solid 63.8% growth, keeping its market presence as upbeat as ever in time for the New Year. HARI points to the strong sales of Hyundai’s Passenger Car (PC) and Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) offerings, most notably the sales of the Accent, Tucson, Sonata, Grand Starex, Genesis Coupe, Santa Fe, and Getz, as clear indicators of Hyundai’s ongoing success in the automotive industry.

Registering a 128.1% boost in terms of year-to-date performance, Hyundai’s PC sales undoubtedly contribute a huge deal to the Korean automaker’s resolute drive in winning the Filipino motorist’s confidence. As for month-on-month sales, Hyundai’s December 2010 PC sales also lead by a huge margin from its December 2009 sales—an outstanding 90.3% growth.

In terms of its Light Commercial Vehicle offerings, Hyundai’s year-to-date sales improved by 54.4% compared to its LCV sales in 2009. Its month-on-month LCV sales tally also dramatically improved by 46.0% in December 2010 compared to its total LCV sales in the same month in 2009. HARI credits these impressive figures to the strong sales of the Grand Starex, Tucson, and Santa Fe—Hyundai’s leading brand ambassadors in the LCV category.

With its stellar sales in 2010, Hyundai looks forward to 2011 with even greater confidence, and a boldness that stems from its heightened passion to bring the uniquely refined motoring experience closer to more customers. With that said, Hyundai enters the New Year, not just with a bang, but with an explosive doggedness—and undeniably, the best is still to come from Hyundai.
