Cebu Auto Show this weekend

If you find yourself in the Queen City of the South this weekend, it’s worth dropping by the Cebu Auto Show at the Cebu International Convention Center. Cebu Auto show runs from May 26 to 29, 2011, 10 am to 7 pm.

Worldbex Services International, the organizers of the recently concluded and highly successful Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) and Worldbex Construction Show gathers together the best names in motoring, building and construction, and food and beverage industry for a triple exposition in the Queen City of the South. Considered as the largest and one of the most attended expositions in the South, the triple show consists of the Cebu Auto Show, Philbex (Philippine Building and Construction Exposition) and CEFBEX (Cebu Food and Beverage Exposition) at the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC). Slated from May 26 to 29, the show runs from 10 AM to 7 PM in the 4-day show.

Taking the lead theme set by the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), Cebu Auto Show 2011 takes on a similar theme “Automotive Evolution” showcasing advancements made in car technology, fuel efficiency and performance. Hailed as the most anticipated motoring event in the city, Cebu Auto Show is not only expected to attract local car enthusiasts and car buyers, the show aims to boost local car sales with the support of Cebu’s premiere car dealerships. Over 15 car brands signed up and will be showcasing their latest models in what can be dubbed as the leading car event in the South. Aside from the car brand exhibits, Cebu Auto Show will have a custom and classic car competition with the participation of 27 car clubs. A mobile audio competition will be held in cooperation with DB Drag as well as a car photo contest.

Now on its 8th year, PHILBEX 2011 brings in a comprehensive lineup of products and services in the construction industry. Considered as Cebu’s largest and most attended construction exposition, Philbex or the Philippine Building and Construction Exposition has been active in providing an extensive exhibit of innovative technologies available to the building and construction markets of Visayas and Mindanao. As a fitting sequel to the successful Worldbex Construction Show in Manila, Philbex takes its pro-environment agenda further into the 21st century with the theme ‘Emerging Technologies and Design towards a Holistic Paradigm’ concentrating on the green advocacies of the industry. Event highlights this year include free seminars and two major gallery exhibits featuring some of the country’s best architects and their designs.
