The Nissan Juke is another great Nissan product that has somehow never made it to the Philippines. It’s a funky-looking compact crossover, and with reportedly good driving dynamics to boot.
Now, Nissan is introducing a souped-up, two-off version of the Juke, by plopping in the 478-bhp, 588 Nm, 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 from the company’s flagship GT-R . We don’t doubt Nissan’s claims that this will make it the world’s fastest crossover. The Juke-R will also get the six-speed semi-automatic transmission and four-wheel drive system. 20-inch Rays forged alloys will be at all four corners. The car will be built by motorsports company RML with input from Nissan Technology Centre for Europe.
Inside, the Juke dashboard will contain the gauges, dials, and 7-inch customizable LCD display from the GT-R. Two racing seats with five-point harnesses will be matched by a visible roll cage.
Only two units of the concept car will be built: one in left-hand drive one in right-hand drive.
The Juke-R follows another wild Nissan product, the Infiniti FX Sebastian Vettel edition, solidifying the brand connection between the Infiniti badge on the Red Bull Racing cars with the Japanese luxury brand’s road cars. The FX Sebastian Vettel was recently confirmed for series production.
