Honda launches three new variants of its best-selling XRM motorcycles
THE MOTORCYCLE has become one of the most defining elements of the Filipino road. They are efficient, affordable, and perfect for the tough road conditions in the country.
Riding the Filipino motorists’ love affair with motorcycles is Honda Philippines, Inc., which recently launched three new variants of its bestselling Honda XRM. Specifically designed and developed for the Philippines, the Honda XRM has been the country’s “On/Off under-bone motorcycle king” since the maiden model was first introduced in 2002.
The three variants all feature the best in its predecessors and more. They are powerful, highly economical, durable and environment friendly.
The XRM125 Dual Sport is the people’s bike, ideal for daily use, bringing users from one point to another. The XM125 Motard, on the other hand, is designed for urban riders; while the special edition XRM125 Dual Sport Extreme (DSX) is the toughest among them all.
During the press launch late last month, officials promised that the XRM’s built-to-last features will provide customers with years of trouble-free, low maintenance riding enjoyment.
While the XRM is a monster when it comes to its specs, it’s no slouch in the looks department either. The bikes are now equipped with the face of the company’s world-famous CRF Series motorbikes—a combination of “toughness, powerful agility and style.”
There’s a renewed focus on the headlight and front fender, which project the dynamic off-road look of Honda’s most popular CRF machine.
The frame provides a low seat height and easy-to-reach ground that is appealing to Filipino riders. The broad comfortable seat offers ample room for two. The handle bar is ergonomically designed for safety On/Off road manoeuvre.
Braking duties for XRM125 Dual Sport is handled by wide front disk brake. For Motard and Dual Sport Extreme, it’s a combination of rear and front disk brakes. Tires are rugged, with dual purpose treads designed to provide an easy and comfortable ride.
Tough, powerful and sporty, the Honda XRM has become the most modified model in the country, making it the bike with the most available accessories in the market.
Introductory price for the new XRM125 is P64,500 for Dual Sports Model, P69,800 for Motard and P67,900 for Dual Sports Extreme.
