Ferrari Philippines to launch F12 Berlinetta, auction memorabilia for Yolanda victims
Ferrari Philippines has chosen to ‘quietly launch’ its latest supercar, the F12 Berlinetta today at its showroom in Bonifacio Global City. Out of respect for the victims of supertyphoon Yolanda / Haiyan, the launch will be private and low-key. The F12 is Ferrari’s current V12 flagship GT, the successor to the 599 Fiorano. Its direct-injection 6.2-liter V12 engine delivers 740hp at a shrieking 8250 rpm, with 690 Nm of torque, 80 percent of which is available from as low as 2500rpm. The F12 can sprint to 100kph in 3.1 seconds, to 200 kph in 8.5 seconds, on to a top speed of over 340 kph.
Autostrada Motore, Ferrari’s exclusive distributor for the Philippines, will also auction off several collectors items to raise money for Yolanda victims, including signed gloves from Ferrari Formula One driver Fernando Alonso, and several scale models, including a classic 250GTO.
