It’s a street race but Vios Cup to be held at McKinley, not Solaire
IT’S still going to be a street race but in another venue.
Toyota Motor Philippines Corp. president Michinobu Sugata yesterday confirmed that the Vios Cup will become a street race but will be held at McKinley West in Bonifacio Global City and not at the Solaire grounds as previously reported by the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
In the company’s 26th anniversary celebration last night, Sugata announced that the race will be held on a 1.7km track to be laid out by the Tuason Racing School on October 18.
It was previously reported that TMP is negotiating with Solaire and that everything was okay with the management casino and resort.
But motioncars-Inquirer learned that organizers had a hard time securing the necessary permits from the Philippine Reclamation Authority thus, leaving them with no choice for the second option which was the Megaworld property due to time constraints.
The race may instead be held there next year should proper authorities come to terms.
