Ford launches limited-edition Ranger Trekker variant
MANILA, Philippines–The new Ranger pickup has been one of the success stories of Ford Philippines, consistently selling well since its launch. Now, Ford Philippines has launched a limited edition of the Ranger called the Trekker. The Trekker variant has been important to the lineup, providing a more upscale look for a better-value package.
The Ranger Trekker is essentially an XLT variant fitted with additional accessories, including an exclusive Trekker decal to accentuate the Ranger’s styling. Ford-selected supplier-branded accessories include a textured black manual hard tonneau cover, chrome sports bar, black carry bars and under rail bedliner with four tie-down hooks.
The Trekker is powered by a 2.2-liter diesel inline-four 16-valve engine. With common-rail injection and turbocharging, the engine outputs 120 horsepower and 285 Newton-meter. It is mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
The Trekker will be available in Aurora Blue and Arctic White. Only 225 units of the limited-edition Trekker will be available, and they will be priced at P1,139,000.
