Petron supports Drive Tourism driving caravan

November 25,2014

In support of Drive Tourism, Petron is giving away P1000 Petron E-Fuel Cards to those who join the 9th Drive Tourism Caravan of Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) to Quezon province on November 29 – 30, 2014. A component of Community Based Rural Tourism, Drive Tourism is where individuals or groups motor through the country’s road networks, using their vehicles to view the myriad local attractions. For a fuller, more focused travel experience, Drive Tourism Caravans are organized according to themes.

With the theme, A Heritage and Culinary Expedition, the participants will savor the local gustatory flavors of Quezon and visit the majestic historic churches and heritage houses of the towns of Tayabas, Lucban, Sariaya and Tiaong.

The caravan will be set in a festive environment wherein exciting activities are prepared such as the Pancit Habhab Challenge, eating the local noodles with bare hands and Tagayan Challenge, non-stop drinking of “lambanog”, the local wine.

One of the highlights of the caravan is the pottery-making workshop with Augusto “Ugu” Bigyan, a ceramic artist who opened his exquisite home and garden to the public as an art gallery, workshop, showroom and restaurant.
