In Pangasinan, an Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) official said about 200 INC members in three buses left the capital to town of Lingayen at 8 p.m. Saturday  to support the INC rally in Metro Manila.

This was the third batch of INC members from Lingayen who went to Metro Manila after the first two groups left on Thursday and Friday, respectively, to join the protest action, said the source who asked not to be named for lack of authority to speak to reporters.

The INC official said at least 20 buses more will be waiting for INC members to ferry them to Metro Manila after their church service on Sunday.

The official said other INC members from Pangasinan went to Metro Manila using their own vehicles.

The INC members were asked by church officials to bring a change of clothes, food and umbrella, the source said.

Other church members are scheduled to attend the rally on Monday when INC members from the Visayas and Mindanao are expected to join the protesters in Metro Manila, the source added.

In Pampanga, an INC member said a contingent from the province will join the protesters in Metro Manila after their worship service on Sunday.

The order to join the protests on Edsa-Shaw, the source said, was given to all INC churches in Luzon. -Tonette Orejas, Yolanda Sotelo
