Chevrolet PH launches Trax crossover starting below P1 million

Chevrolet Trax in striking Boracay Blue

The Trax crossover slots in at less than P1 million, just like the Nissan Juke, also launched this week.The base Trax LS goes for P998,888 while the higher LT variant sells for P1,218,888. The Trax is powered by a 1.4-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, good for 140hp, and 200Nm from just 1850rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic with manual shift mode.

 

TRAX-Generic-shots3Trax measures 4248mm in length, with a 2555mm wheelbase. The Trax features electric power steering and the MyLink connectivity system with a 7-inch touchscreen and Siri phone integration. The interior has a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls and illuminated sunvisor. The front seat can fold flat, and the rear seat can split-fold to increase luggage capacity to a maximum 1370 liters.

 

TRAX-interior1Trax comes with a full suite of active safety features including electronic stability control, cornering brake control, tire pressure monitoring system, ABS-EBD brakes, brake assist, traction control system, straight line stability assist and something called rear wheel boost. There’s also roll over mitigation and hill descent control, and disc brakes on all four wheels.

 

The Trax is equipped with cruise control, daytime running lamps, automatic headlamps, roof rails, 18-inch alloy wheels, rear-view camera and parking sensors.

 

TRAX-interior5Available colors are Carbon Flash Metallic, Summit White, Boracay Blue Metaliic, Deep Espresso Brown Metallic, Orange Rock, Velvet Red Metallic, Blaze Red, Snowflake White Pearl and Switchblade Silver Metallic.

 

The Trax will be featured in the ongoing Motorama mall tour series. Motorama will be at Alabang Town Center activity area on October 16 to 18, 2015, and at the Glorietta Activity Center on October 23 to 25, 2015.
