KIA BEGINS the early countdown to one of tennis’ most awaited tournaments with Kia Lucky Drive to Australia!
Established in 2010, the annual promo for Kia test-drive participants gives a once-in-a-lifetime prize of a trip to Australia to watch the Australian Open, live.
The Australian Open is the first major event in the tennis calendar and is considered the Grand Slam of Asia and the Pacific.
Columbian Autocar Corp. (CAC), the exclusive distributor of Kia Motors vehicles in the Philippines, wants tennis and motoring fans in the Philippines to be part of this incredible experience.
Now on its fifth year, CAC will once again mount the Kia Lucky Drive to Australia contest and reward one lucky test-drive participant a trip for two to the Land Down Under.
CAC president Ginia R. Domingo underscored the brand’s strong belief in sports and expounded on the promo’s positive impact to the sport and to people.
Domingo said: “Kia believes in the power of sports to unite, to empower the youth, and to promote camaraderie and that is why it has always been a staunch supporter of major sporting events. In the global stage, Kia is associated with the NBA, Fifa, Uefa Euro, World Extreme Games, and of course, the Australian Open. Here in the Philippines, CAC follows suit and supports football, basketball, and volleyball at both major and grassroots levels. Kia and CAC are both very devoted to sports and in turn, we want our supporters to take part in these ventures and enjoy them, too.”

From Oct. 16 to Dec.13, 2015, select Kia dealerships will host weekend test-drive events where the participants will be eligible to join Kia Lucky Drive to Australia. Before the year ends, CAC will announce the lucky recipient of a trip for two to Melbourne, Australia, complete with city tours and tickets to an electrifying match at the Australian Open 2016.
