Toyota PH reveals pricing and variants of new Vios and Yaris

Toyota will be putting “all-new” engines and CVTs in the 2016 Vios and Yaris. The new engines will feature the Dual VVT-i system, allowing for variable valve timing for both the intake and exhaust sides. Toyota promises more power and better mileage, with less emissions from the new engines. Automatic variants will be equipped with continuously variable transmission, in place of the old four-speed unit.

 

Exterior changes for the Vios include new chrome trim for the G-variant fog lamps, and two new colors: alumina jade metallic and blackish red mica. The Yaris gets new seat fabrics and dark silver face display for the audio head unit. Toyota says that this will give the Yaris a “more style-oriented feel.”

The new Vios and Yaris will be launched on August 22, 2016.
