THE SAD truth is that we’ve outgrown Edsa itself.

THE SAD truth is that we’ve outgrown Edsa itself.

The average travel time on Edsa was cut by 21 minutes in the first two days that the Interagency Council on Traffic held a dry run of the “no window” policy.

Contrary to an earlier assessment made by Metropolitan Manila Development Authority general manager Tim Orbos, I-ACT’s data showed that Edsa traffic improved by nearly 11 minutes on Wednesday, 21 minutes on Thursday and 13 minutes on Friday.

Orbos himself announced the new findings on Friday, saying he expects further improvement when the policy is fully implemented on Oct. 17. – Jovic Yee
