Net Group, will be offering for free a limited e-trike shuttle service, a pilot program in support of the fight against traffic pollution.
Ramon Fernando Rufino, co-president of the Net Group, told reporters the program would be using seven e-trikes for the daily service to and from Net Lima or Net Park and Market! Market!
“If it clicks, we hope to expand it in the future,” Rufino said.
He said the project, if deemed successful, would be expanded to cover five other office buildings.
The seven units would be able to service 500 to 600 workers.
The program is in partnership with EMotors, Inc. EMotors CEO Beth Lee told reporters this was the first e-trike service initiative involving a large private company, noting the group is “really one of the greenest building developers here in the country.”
The units, locally assembled in Laguna with incentives from the Board of Investments, would be operated by a group of people mostly women. – Roy Stephen C. Canivel
