Chevrolet PH celebrates 100 years of trucks

With 200 hp and 500 hp from just 2000 rpm, the new Colorado truck is one of the most powerful in its class.

Chevrolet Philippines (The Covenant Car Company Inc.) celebrates 100 years of Chevy trucks by bringing in a special 2018 Colorado Centennial Edition.

The new truck features unique styling cues inspired by the ones on early Chevrolet models.

The trademark Chevrolet bowtie logos on the front and rear are reminiscent of the original badges on the early trucks.

Prominent on the front is the trademark Chevrolet bowtie logo reminiscent of the original badges on early trucks.

There’s also the hood decal, and the vehicle build number recognizing its status as a limited-edition Colorado.

Colorado Centennial Edition rides on 18-inch black alloy wheels, highlighting its work and adventure-oriented nature.

Standard on the truck is a special bedliner and tubular body sports bar. Fender flares also lend some ruggedness to the Colorado.

The new truck is powered by a 2.8-liter Duramax four-cylinder engine.

The turbodiesel with variable geometry turbocharger produces 200 hp and 500 hp from just 2000 rpm, one of the most powerful in its class. The transmission is a six-speed automatic.

The robust power allows the Colorado to haul one ton, and to tow 3.5 tons.

The handsome tubular body sports bar is standard for the Colorado Centennial Edition pickup truck.

It feaures a best-in-class 800 mm water wading capability.

Standard safety features include anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake force distribution (EBD), dual front airbags, panic brake assist (PBA), electronic stability control (ESC), traction control system (TCS), hill descent control (HDC) and hill start assist (HSA), roll-over mitigation (ROM), and trailer sway control (TSC).

Other convenience features of the Colorado include remote start engine, front and rear park assist, electro chromatic inside rearview mirror, lane departure warning, forward collision alert, and tire pressure monitoring system.

Interior convenience features include an 8-inch color touchscreen with Chevrolet MyLink Infotainment System and Siri Eyes Free.

The Colorado Centennial continues a tradition of dependable trucks dating back to the Chevrolet 1918 One-Ton.

The limited-edition 2018 Chevrolet Colorado Centennial Edition is priced at P1,848,888.

Fender flares lend some ruggedness to the Colorado.

The 2018 Chevrolet Colorado Centennial Edition has been available in Chevrolet showrooms starting Nov. 30, 2017. It will also be featured in the upcoming Chevrolet Motorama from Nov. 30 to Dec. 6, 2017 at SM Megamall.
