Chevrolet ph to launch all new Malibu at MIAS
Chevrolet Philippines will reveal the all-new Malibu midsize sedan at the 2018 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS).
The new-generation Malibu features a sleek new design with coupé-like roofline. It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels as standard.
The Malibu will be powered by a new 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, good for 250 hp and 353 Nm. The engine will be paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission with manual override mode.
The new Chevrolet Malibu will be offered in the top LTZ variant. Convenience features include dual-zone climate control, semi-automatic parallel and perpendicular parking, built-in wireless cellphone charger.
Also in the standard equipment list are premium touches such as panoramic sunroof, Bose 9-speaker audio system, Chevrolet MyLink touchscreen with smartphone integration and GPS navigation.
Malibu also features ventilated front seats.
Safety highlights include lane keep assist, lane departure warning, front collision alert, front pedestrian detection, automatic braking, side blind zone alert, rear cross traffic alert, and eight airbags.
The Malibu will also have LED daytime running lights, with automatic headlamps. First in the segment is adaptive cruise control.
The all-new Malibu measures 4923 mm in length, with a 2829 mm wheelbase.
The Malibu 2.0L 6AT LTZ is priced at P2,131,888.
The Malibu will be the centerpiece of Chevrolet’s display at MIAS. Also to be featured will be new variants of Colorado and Trailblazer, the LTX, which will have 4×2 drivetrains and with more standard equipment. The Sail sedan, Spark hatchback, and Trax SUV will also be at the Chevy booth.
Kids and collectors can appreciate the Hotwheels corner. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Hotwheels brand, Chevrolet will display a specially accessorized Colorado as a full-size counterpart of the model cars that will kids.
