All-new Lexus ES: Driven by intuition
After its world premiere at the Beijing Motor Show last April, local customers finally came face to face with the all-new Lexus ES350 during its formal launch at the Lexus Manila dealership.
The 7th generation ES model takes on a new level of ride comfort, refinement, and luxury appointments.
The all-new ES uses Lexus’ all-new global architecture, the K (GA-K) platform, exclusively developed for the ES model.
The wheelbase has been increased by 50 mm, and has a wider set of tracks on both the front and rear.
Thanks to the new GA-K platform, the new design comes with a more fluid shape with a low hood line and a sleek and sporty hood line.
David Nordstrom, Lexus Asia Pacific vice president, said: “The all-new ES represents a new era for one of the brand’s most popular models. The provocative design provides more excitement and emotional connection to engage a broader customer base. Traditional customers will find the All-New ES more spacious, quieter and safer, while new customers will be drawn to its bolder styling, sharpened performance, advanced technologies, unique cabin materials and unmatched craftsmanship.”
The new global architecture offers a higher level of driving dynamics than any of its six predecessors. The new ES feels more responsive and is surprisingly easier to drive, even on more challenging road conditions.
Its exceptionally rigid front-wheel drive chassis coupled with reduced weight and better aerodynamics has significantly improved the car’s driving dynamics while reducing noise and vibrations, offering a new level of cabin comfort.
Powered by a 3.5-liter V6, the ES delivers a silky smooth performance that allows the driver to confidently traverse through the highway or the twisty backroads with impressive efficiency, thanks to the direct shift 8-speed automatic transmission, which is a Lexus first.
Smart gear shifting gives the optimum gear needed to accelerate based on the speed and the driver’s individual driving habits.
Inside, the ES comes with a more spacious interior, with the driver facing a driver-centric cockpit matched with larger and more comfortable seats for both front passengers.
Just like previous Lexus models, the interior accoutrement of the all-new ES 350 is a showcase of its famous Takumi craftsmanship.
For its infotainment, a set of 17 Mark Levinson speakers and premium surround sound system using the latest QLS (Quantum Logic Surround) sound technology provides a symphony of music that mimics an orchestra inside the sedan’s cabin.
The ES 350 has eight exterior colors, including two new ones: Ice Ecru and Sunlight Green, which change with varying daylight and nighttime lighting conditions.
Visit the Lexus Manila showroom to check out a new kind of midsize luxury sedan that exceeds expectations of a luxury sedan.
The ES 350’s coupé-like silhouette sedan promises a new level of sharpened performance, class-leading safety technology, and a level of craftsmanship that Lexus has been known for.
Price starts at P4.308 million.
