Vios Racing Festival returns to Clark International Speedway
BRACE yourself for heart-pumping excitement as Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) brings the hugely-successful Vios Racing Festival back to its roots on June 8, Saturday at the Clark International Speedway.
Celebrities, car clubs, Toyota owners, and motoring media will have the thrill of their lives as TMP presents the Autocross Challenge and Circuit Championship in the festival which is open free to the public starting 9 a.m.
“It’s the first time that the All-New Vios model will be tested at the racetracks since its debut as a pace car in 2018’s Filinvest leg. We made sure that aside from speed, the Vios is also built for precision and safety,” said TMP Vice President Ms. Elijah Marcial.
The One Make Race (OMR) Vios racecar has been modified for optimum handling and performance given the two different racing formats. The Auto
cross Challenge is a timed competition wherein drivers navigate through an obstacle course one at a time; while the Circuit Championship is the classic format wherein all drivers are simultaneously competing against each other during laps.
There will be three categories for the Vios Circuit Championship: Sporting Class, Promotional Class, and Celebrity Class.
The Toyota Vios Racing Festival is held in cooperation with Bridgestone and supported by Petron, Motul, and Rota. Other sponsors are Brembo, Denso, AVT, 3M, OMP, and Tuason Racing.
Spicing up the event is the invite of the TMP to all Toyota owners—regardless of car model and year, given they can drive manual transmission—to share their thoughts online for a chance to race at the Vios Auto
cross Challenge. No prior motorsports experience is required. The Facebook promo can be accessed through this link: https://bit.ly/joinVRF
The five (5) lucky winners with the best captions will be contacted by official representatives from Toyota Motor Philippines, and will be provided with race-ready Vios units.
