Victory Liner ups premium service, adds 50 Hyundai luxe buses
The commuting public’s growing appetite for efficiency, reliability and passenger comfort has encouraged one of the country’s largest provincial bus companies to upgrade its fleet, adding 50 brand new Hyundai Universe luxury buses from Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI).
With the latest acquisition, Hyundai branded buses now make-up almost a third of Victory Liner’s 1,100 bus-strong fleet, underscoring the Korean-manufactured bus’ reliability, ease of ownership including maintenance and after sales service.
“It has been our great pleasure and privilege to be Victory Liner’s key transportation partner. We are grateful for their continued trust and support in Hyundai since we first forged our partnership. Our tried-and-tested buses such as the Hyundai Universe provide a safer, faster, and more comfortable mode of mass transport for Filipinos,” said HARI president and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo.
This is not the first time Victory Liner partnered with HARI. In 2017, company refreshed its fleet with 20 brand new Hyundai Universe buses that were turned over by Hyundai Trucks and Buses (HTB)-Commonwealth.
A step closer
“Victory Liner’s mission is to move people better, safer by providing timely, cost-efficient, and quality transport services. Working closely with Filipino-owned companies such as HARI brings us one step closer to our goal,” said Victory Liner, Inc. president Johnny T. Hernandez.
The heavy-duty 50-seater (including the driver’s) Hyundai Universe is manufactured in Jeonju Plant in Korea, a 440,000-square meter-facility rated as one of the biggest dedicated plants for commercial vehicles in the world.
Cutting-edge technology such as the use of automatic welding utilizing robots and cathodic electro deposition coating ensure that every Hyundai Universe is of high quality and designed to withstand several years of continuous operation.
Powered by a 12.3-liter Euro 4-compliant electronic diesel engine, the Hyundai Universe generates a maximum 375hp yet still fuel efficient, perfect for companies looking for maximum business profits while operating vehicles with cleaner emissions.
Mobility solutions
The Hyundai Universe Bus belongs to HARI’s Commercial Vehicle line-up that provides various mobility solutions for people and goods, stimulating economic activity.
HARI explained that Hyundai commercial vehicles are supported by a three-year or 200,000-kilometer mileage warranty (whichever comes first). Additionally, Hyundai supports its business partners with programs such as the Call for Service Inspection (CSI) that bring in highly-trained technicians to repair Hyundai Trucks and Buses fleet right at the customer’s headquarters.
“Through our continuous commitment to serve the Filipino riding public and also transportation businesses such as Victory Liner, we are poised to contribute not only to the economy but also to nation-building. Hyundai is revved up to move people, industries, and the entire nation forward,” assured Ms Agudo.
She added that HARI’s partnership with Victory Liner is just one of the company’s response to firmly support the government’s thrust to modernize the country’s public transport system.
