Mitsubishi is pushing hard introducing new and updated models across the board. The Strada Athlete is one of them. We take a closer loom at what sets it apart from the regular Strada models:

1.) Chrome trim on the exterior has been replaced for sophisticated matte black pieces for the grill, bumpers & side-mirror covers giving it a more aggressive & sophisticated look. The wheels are 18-inch in size for the Athlete variants.

2.) The roof is painted black, and a sports-bar is installed on the pick-up bed. Black graphics are splashed onto the sides of the vehicle.

3.) The interior is treated with orange and black trim on the seats, with the word ATHLETE stitched onto the seatbacks for an air of sophistication.

4.) Mitsubishi has installed a whole host of added safety & convenience features which include the following:

• Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM)

• Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Assist (BSW with LCA)

• Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)

• Ultrasonic Misacceleration Mitigation System (UMS)

• Trailer Stability Assist

• Hill Descent Control

• Hill Start Assist

• Auto High Beam

• Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body.

5.) The Strada Athlete also comes with power adjustable driver’s seat and cruise-control to lessen fatigue on long drives.

The new variant is available in three colors: white diamond, jet black mica and sunflare orange, the last being exclusive to the Athlete variant. 4×2 & 4×4 models of the Athlete are available, all utilizing the same 6-speed automatic transmission and the 4N15 MIVEC equipped clean-diesel engine delivering 181ps and 430 Newton-Meters of torque. 4WD variants also get shift-on-the-fly Super Select 4WD Transmission as well.

These timely enhancements help the Strada tackle the competition in the growing lifestyle pick-up segment, perfect for people looking for an all-in-one vehicle that has style, performance and versatility.
