Subaru’s version of the Toyobaru sports car co-developed with part-owner Toyota Motor has a name: BRZ. The name stands for Boxer engine, Rear wheel drive, and Zenith. Don’t look around for a TV or a watch—the Zenith means “ultimate passion for the new sports car and confidence in its distinctive trademark and core technology: the Horizontally-Opposed Subaru Boxer engine.” Subaru will show at the Frankfurt Motor Show a “technology concept” version of the BRZ. Not as memorable as WRX or STI—yet.
