Mazda reveals all-new CX-3 compact SUV

Mazda Motor Corporation has revealed its all-new compact crossover, the CX-3. The new car will feature the company’s core Skyactiv fuel-efficiency technology and Kodo-Soul of Motion styling. The new car is set to launch in 2015 in Japan, with other markets to quickly follow. The small SUV will slot in below the hot-selling CX-5 in price and size.
Mazda says that the CX-3 offers all the essentials of the automobile, design of overwhelming quality and style, and packaging that takes into account ease of use. It also purports to include the company’s responsive handling.
Engine choices will include the Skyactiv-G 2.0-liter gasoline engine and Skyactiv-D 1.5-liter “clean diesel.” All-wheel drive will be available, as will a new suite of safety features. The CX-3’s public debut will be at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week.
The CX-3 will go head-to-head with Honda’s upcoming HR-V.
