To whet your appetite further for the upcoming Formula One season, Mercedes-Benz has released footage of its new Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 W05 race car. Innovatively, it allows the viewer to pan around the image, 360 degrees, as the video is running.
The video was filmed in high-definition using six cameras at 40 frames per second as Nico Rosberg goes around the Silverstone Circuit. Two other videos show Nico and Lewis Hamilton charging around the track in the E 63 AMG estate and sedan.
The Mercedes F1 video can be downloaded to iPad, which can uses its gyroscopic sensors to pan the camera. Look for “F1 360” to search for the app.
The 2014 F1 season begins March 16.
