Enzo Pastor’s family wants his ashes, custody of his sons

As the investigation into the murder of race car driver and motorsports proponent Ferdinand ‘Enzo’ Pastor continues, his parents are asking for their last links to the slain car racer—his ashes and his two sons.

On the 100th day since Pastor’s killing, his parents, still reeling from the painful loss of their son, are asking the parents of his widow Dalia Guerrero-Pastor to at least give his cremated remains and their grandchildren to them.

Dalia is tagged as one of the suspects behind the murder of her car racer husband. She is currently at large.

‎”We want to get the ashes of Enzo because today is already the 100th day (since Enzo’s death).  Since the parents of Dalia say that Dalia is nowhere to be found ‎already, in the name of decency, please, please return to us the ashes,” Remedios Pastor, the slain racer’s mother, said in an interview with INQUIRER.net.

Last June 12, Pastor was shot to death allegedly by Police Office 2 Edgar Angel, who purportedly was hired by businessman Domingo “Sandy” de Guzman III. De Guzman is the alleged lover of Guerrero-Pastor.

According to the Pastors, Guerrero-Pastor has not been in contact with them since the 40^th day of Enzo’s death.

Remedios said the parents of Guerrero-Pastor kept shutting them out whenever they tried to reach ‎out to them.

Several speculations have come out as to where Guerrero-Pastor is now. Some say she has already fled to Malaysia, while others believe she is just hiding somewhere in the Visayas with Domingo. Remedios says that until now, her whereabouts remain unknown to them.

Opposing custody

While Pastor’s cremated remains are still with the Guerreros, the Pastor family also wants to see their grandchildren.

Remedios said they received recently a court order from Judge Rico Liwanag of the Makati Regional Trial Court (RTC) to contest the petition of Guerrero-Pastor’s camp‎ for guardianship over Pastor’s two sons.

In the order, Guerrero-Pastor’s parents said the widow left her children with them. It also stated in the ‎petition that they do not know the whereabouts of their daughter.

“They (parents) themselves don’t know the whereabouts of their own daughter.  How can they be responsible enough to take care of the two children?” Remedios said.

Pastor’s camp, in turn, will oppose the decision. A hearing at the Makati RTC will take place in November.

Since news broke out about Guerrero-Pastor’s alleged involvement in the murder of her husband, her family has stopped sending the two children to their school.

“We tried to catch them in school but they weren’t there. We spoke to their teacher and they said that (the Guerreros are) no longer bringing the children to school,” she lamented.

‎”We miss our grandchildren. They are our last link to our son, Enzo. In the name of decency please, please do not let them take our grandchildren away from us,” Remedios said.‎
