There have been a total of 281 fatal road accidents in Metro Manila from January to October 2014, according to the latest Road Crash Statistics Report of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority’s Metro Manila Accident Reporting and Analysis System.
The Philippines recorded 8499 road deaths in 2010, for a fatality rate of 9.1 per 100,000 inhabitants, and 128.1 per 100,000 motor vehicles. –With report by Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
