All-New XC90 Powerplant DisplayVolvo revealed the all-new XC90 SUV at the North Court of the Powerplant Mall in Rockwell. The XC90 is a seven-seat premium SUV with Volvo’s world-leading safety features and higher levels of design and finish. The face of the XC90 shows off Volvo’s new corporate grille, with more prominent “iron” logo and T-shaped “Thor’s Hammer” daytime running lights.

The new XC90 is available with a 2-liter, four-cylinder engine dubbed Drive-E that promises better fuel efficiency. There’s also a twin-turbo diesel engine with 225 and 470Nm on tap. The top T6 option comes with a supercharger and turbo, delivering 320hp and 400Nm. The engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

All-New XC90 Instrument PanelVolvo promises the most comfortable seats in its class, with lots of room for both second and third row passengers. The third row can reportedly comfortably accommodate passengers up to 170cm tall.

Volvo’s Sensus interface features a tablet-like touchscreen center console that eliminates a multitude of buttons, allowing theoretically simpler operation. Seats and surfaces are trimmed in Nappa leather and wood, with diamond-cut controls for the start-stop button and audio volume control.

The all-new XC90 has a base price of P5.6 million.
