Ford PH launches 15-seat Transit van

Ford Philippines launched today the all-new Transit van. With seating for 15, the Transit seeks to carve its niche in the large people-mover segment. Transit is powered by a 2.2-liter Duratorq diesel with 135 ps and 385 Nm of torque. Features include an interior dashboard and power side step. Ford says the new Transit combines considerable size and space, safe and convenient features, proven performance capabilities, and long service intervals for maximum productivity and cost efficiency in any business operation. Customers purchasing the all-new Transit this year will get free 5-year scheduled service maintenance plan . Here’s the news from Ford:

Ford Philippines is launching today its most spacious, intelligent, capable, and cost-efficient all-new Transit designed to help businesses thrive especially those involved in moving people as part of their daily operations.

Since its launch in 1965, the Ford Transit has set the benchmark for commercial vehicles for its capability, power, and performance. While introduced first in Europe, the Transit has made way across other continents and countries over the past few years, even garnering several awards for its fuel-efficiency, design, and value.

To date, Ford has produced over seven million Transit vehicles across the world and has launched six generations of the vehicle, constantly evolving to keep up with the demands of enterprise customers.

It is powered by Ford’s proven 2.2-litre Duratorq Diesel engine capable of generating 135PS of power and 385Nm of torque, which is coupled with a six-speed Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) manual transmission, meeting performance demands while remaining fuel efficient.

Spacious Interior

The all-new Transit offers space efficiency and increased productivity made possible by its generous size which measures 5,981mm long, 2,474mm wide, and 2,517mm tall. It incorporates a spacious interior that features a 15-seating capacity, 21 stowage bins, 12 cup holders and multiple power sockets. These characteristics allow the all-new Transit to be easily maneuvered in or outside the city, while also having a high carrying capacity for passengers or cargo load.

Safe and Convenient Features

The all-new Transit is also equipped with a selection of safe and convenient features made to enhance the ride experience for drivers and passengers alike.

For maximum convenience, comfort, and driver stress prevention, these features include a rearview camera, extra wide doors, rear cargo doors with 180-degree opening capacity, easy clean non-slip rubber flooring, power side step, power folding side mirrors, hill launch assist, and load stabilization.

For safety, on the other hand, the all-new Transit comes with the Electronic Stability Program (ESP), 15 three-point seatbelts with head rests, as well as an escape hatch for emergency situations.

Purpose-built Design

Bold and utilitarian are distinctive traits of the all-new Transit’s exterior design, allowing it to suit daily business operations while conveying a strong and commanding road presence.

It is fitted with a three-bar grille, halogen reflector headlamps with daytime running lights, fog lamps, steel wheels with hub caps, black bumpers and side moldings, and rear bumper with integrated step.

Colors, Pricing, and Availability

The all-new Transit comes in three colors including Frozen White, Moondust Silver, and Magnetic Metallic.

The all-new Transit retails at Php2,300,000 and is available in Ford dealerships nationwide beginning today.
