1st Dongfeng showroom rises in booming Cainta town

“Five years ago, we chose Tata, India’s largest automobile brand, to sell their range of cars, utility vehicles and cargo vehicles. Today, we are proud to carry Dongfeng, one of China’s largest automotive brands, as we offer their wide variety of commercial vehicles ranging from 4-wheeler, 6-wheeler, and 10-wheeler cargo trucks to mini bus, tractor heads, dump trucks, and cement mixers,” announced Alice Lee, president of Agrani Motors, Inc., as she led Thursday’s soft opening of Dongfeng’s first-ever dealership in the Philippines.

Located along Km. 17 Ortigas Avenue Extension in Cainta, the Agrani Motors dealership will also serve as Dongfeng’s service center.

“This facility here in Cainta, along with the one in Marcos Highway, will make sure that any customer inquiries and concerns regarding Dongfeng will be addressed promptly and properly,” assured Lee.

Timely

Lee relates that Dongfeng’s arrival here in the Philippines is timely, explaining that the country’s trucking fleets are investing in new trucks at an increasing pace.

“The infrastructure buildup and booming construction in the country have increased the demand for reasonably-priced quality trucks and reliable parts and services. We see the opportunity and the area by which we will be able to complement the industry,” said Lee.

It should be remembered that the Duterte administration has set a target of spending at least P8 trillion for big-ticket infrastructure projects up to 2022. This will need more trucks and heavy equipment in order to meet the continuous infrastructure projects under the President’s “Build, Build, Build” for public infrastructure, as well as the construction of residential, office and commercial spaces initiated by the private sector.

Apart from construction, another sector that Agrani Motors anticipates is the prospering transport and logistics sector.

With bright economic prospects and an expanding population, the Philippines presents a growing need for an efficient goods and service delivery, and transport system.

Demand in the transportation and logistics sector—spurred by the ongoing boom in e-commerce—will only increase the demand for more dependable trucks. “With Dongfeng, our clients will have several highly attractive trucks to consider,” assured Lee.
